This Privacy Policy describes how Location Pocket ("the App"), developed by Vishal Kumar Chaubey, handles your information. The App saves places on your own device. It has no accounts, no servers, no ads and no analytics, so there is nothing for anyone to collect.
Nothing you enter leaves your device. No personal data, no location, no photos and no usage statistics are sent to the developer or to any third party. The App does not track you, does not show advertising, and contains no analytics or crash-reporting service.
The App asks for location access only while you are using it, and only for two things: to record your current position when you save a place, and to show how far away your saved places are. Positions are turned into a readable address on the device itself, without a geocoding service. The App never requests background location access, so it cannot read your position when it is closed.
Camera and photo library access are optional and are requested only at the moment you choose to attach a photo to a place. A photo you pick is copied into the App's private storage on your device. No photo is uploaded anywhere, and the App never reads your photo library on its own.
Your places, notes, photos and settings are stored in a local SQLite database inside the App's private storage on your device. This data is not readable by other apps, is never transmitted, and is not accessible to the developer.
When you tap Navigate or Share, the coordinates of that one place are handed to the app you choose, such as a maps or ride-hailing app. From that point the privacy policy of the app you chose applies to what it does with those coordinates. The App does not share anything else, and shares nothing unless you ask it to.
A backup you export is an ordinary file that you control: the App hands it to your system share sheet and you decide where it goes, whether that is local storage, a cloud drive or an email. Location Pocket never uploads a backup by itself. Once the file is in a cloud service, that service's own privacy policy applies to it.
The App explicitly blocks permissions it does not need, including microphone access, background location, and broad access to external storage. It asks only for location while in use, and for the camera or photo library when you attach a photo.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because it collects and transmits no personal data from any user, it is inherently compliant with children's privacy regulations.
Deleting a place in the App removes it, along with its note and photo, from the device. Uninstalling the App removes its database and all of its stored photos. Backup files you exported yourself are not affected, because they are yours to keep or delete.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any change is published on this page with an updated effective date at the top, and the current version always applies to the current release of the App.
